ROUND VICTORIAN LADY CROSS STITCH PATTERN

I don't know the name of this pattern/chart so I'm naming it Round Victorian Lady. I found it via Pinterest and I absolutely love it. After I'd framed it I noticed I'd forgotten to do three French knots but it's too late now to fix it. 

Finished size is 5.75"w x just over 5.5" and I framed it in black 7" square frame.

MATERIALS: I used DMC black 310 and did French knots on her dress and hat in DMC 223 light shell pink. I used 14 count Aida, in the pale pink color "Bashful" by Picture This Plus. The fabric appears to be unstarched and it's very soft and stretchy, and I didn't like working with it. I prefer Aida that's pretty stiff because you don't have to be gentle with it.

I found this pattern a couple months ago via Pinterest. I don't know which JBW Designs collection it's from. 

MATERIALS: This used about 3 yards of floss, DMC 824 very dark blue, and barely any of DMC 742 light tangerine for the nose. I used a piece of Charles Craft (DMC) 'natural' 14 count Aida. I framed it in a 5"x7" black frame.

Finished size, without the word 'snowman' below the design is 5 1/8"L by almost 4 1/2" wide. I used a

This rooster was done in DMC 498 dark red. I used 14 count 'natural' colored Aida from Charles Craft. I framed it in a black 6"x8" frame and I love it! Not much more can be said about it.

FRENCH COUNTRY IV- PUMPKIN CHART by JBW Designs

This is small, not quite 4" by not quite 3.5". I used a 'natural' colored piece of 14 count Aida from Charles Craft. I framed this in a 5" square black frame, which is the smallest size frame you could use. I used DMC 355 dark terra cotta floss. I love this design!

I made this cutie to display during the spring. It took a day. I used light yellow Charles Craft (DMC) 14 count Aida and it had a black spot on the fabric, as you can see in the photo. I used DMC 932 light antique blue. The blue is a shade darker in person than the pale blue it was online when I bought it. It's a smoky blue. I used a little over 2 yards of floss. I didn't want to put a name or words on it so the finished size of the rabbit alone is just 2.86"x4.43". I put it in a 4"x6" dark brown frame.

This design is the cutest thing ever! The chart is out of print. It took 5-6 days to complete. The designer is Judy Whitman, who's the owner and sole designer of JBW Designs. I follower her on Youtube. 

FABRIC- I used a piece of 'natural' colored 14 count Aida from Charles & Craft, a narrow strip about 7"x12". 

FLOSS: I used DMC for all three bunnies. The chart tells you which colors were used for the pink bunny but I went with the 'shell pink' family of colors insteead. For the pink one I used 152 medium light shell pink, 225 ultra very light shell pink, 3722 medium shell pink. For the eye I used 890 ultra dark pistachio green. The accent color is 3347 medium yellow green. 

For the green bunny I used 320 medium pistachio green, 368 light pistachio green, 369 very light pistashio green. The eye is made with 890 ultra dark pistachio green. For the accent color I used 3853 dark autumn gold, though I don't see any gold in it. I wish I had used a more orange shade. The light and medium pistachio shades are too close in color.

The purple one is 3041 medium antique violet, 3042 light antique violet, 3743 very light antique violet. The eye is made with 3740 dark antique violet. The accent color is 744 pale yellow.

FRAME: The frame is a black 5"x10" and that's the smallest size frame you can use if you want to do a trio like I did. I swear the framed piece looks better in person than in my photo.

I found this chart online in June 2022 and knew I had to make it. I think it's just beautiful. It's not quite circular, being 5"x4 3/4. The chart is slightly blurry and worse when printed out. I put off making this because I couldn't see the detailing on the bird. I finally went ahead and made it, leaving the bird until last. I had to reach out to people online to help me with it. With some of their advice in mind, I finished the bird and I think it looks OK. I'm not disappointed with it. I used a white French knot for the eye since I couldn't tell what they'd done with it on the chart. This took me an entire day to complete.

MATERIALS: I used a 9" square piece of 14 count Aida by Charles and Craft in color 'natural.' I used maybe half of one skein of DMC 315 medium antique mauve. The design called for 3726 dark antique mauve. I used a 6" square frame.

TOTAL COST: About $13. The chart was free online, floss was 60 cents, part of a huge piece of Aida was about $2, and solid wood/real glass 6"x6" frame was $10.
